Lyricless Song (无字歌)
On June 29, 2013, at the preselection in Changsha division of China’s most popular talent show “Superboy 2013”, Hua Chenyu wore an old T-shirt, carried a keyboard on his back, and sang his original “Lyricless Song” without makeup. On that, Hua won the qualification to compete for the top 20 in the country, and that was also his first appearance on TV.

When Hua Chenyu sang this “Lyricless Song” in a slightly weird atmosphere, he immediately received a “pass” from the three judges and passed the preliminaries directly.
Since then, “Lyricless Song” has become Hua’s representative symbol, and together with his first nickname “boy from Mars”, it ignited the Chinese entertainment industry in 2013.
