First released at Tianyu (his agency)’s 10th anniversary “Tomorrow Party” cross-border art exhibition on December 2014. Officially released on April 27, 2015.
1. About the song
A cross-border work in collaboration with multimedia artist Lu Yang.
Lu Yang planned to use cartoon characters that were both disgusting and cute to express cancer cells, but Hua Chenyu had different opinions. For Hua, cancer should never be colorful and cute, it is the source of endless pain to people. After full communication, Hua got the opportunity to sing impromptu in the exhibition hall.
There are no lyrics because the melody alone is enough to express all the emotions.
Hua consumes a huge amount of energy every time he sings this song. Therefore, Hua Chenyu only occasionally sang “Cancer” at his Mars Concert.
